Drew Kolditz began dancing in 1984 when he was a student at Brigham Young University.He went to his first dance class as a favor to a “cute redhead” who had to bring a partner to remain in the class.She really did him a favor because he discovered that he loved to dance!
Drew’s instructors at BYU soon discovered his aptitude for both learning and teaching dance and recruited him to be an assistant teacher.Drew also performed with BYU’s touring dance team in the United States and Europe.His primary dance partner at BYU was Marie Riolo Roach.
Since graduation, Drew was tested & certified at the Bronze, Silver & Gold Levels by the Imperial Society of Dance Teachers.He represented the United States on the 1992 World Champion Amateur Formation Dance Team in Blackpool, England.And he has participated in Amateur International Latin competitions in many U.S. cities. Drew has been coached by some of the best dance teachers in the world, including Corky & Shirley Ballas, Donny & Gaynor Fairweather, Rick Valenzuela & Melissa Dexter, Marcus & Karen Hilton, and Tony Meridith and Melanie LaPatton.
Drew coaches dance locally for USA Dance and teaches both group and private lessons at Riolo Dance.
