History of Riolo Dance Opened in May of 2007, Riolo Dance is the realization of a dream for Marie Riolo Roach. After 18 years of teaching dance, it was time for Marie to open her own studio. She chose a central location, 502 N. Capitol, where the 2nd floor is entirely devoted to dance. Renovation of the space began in March of 2007 and included moving a wall, leveling the floor, relocating the heating/air conditioning unit, laying the floor, and acoustic work, not to mention the decorating. It was truly a family project and could not have been accomplished without the help of Marie's dear family and friends. Marie's Italian heritage is apparent in everything about Riolo Dance, from it's name (Marie's maiden name) to the beautiful Tuscan colors and the rough stucco and brick wall. | What People are Saying About Riolo Dance A long-time Indianpolis dancer said, "Marie has more patience and energy than any other dance instructor I know." A visitor from Portland, Oregon came to a group lesson and practice while he was in town for another event. He said, "This is the best floor on which I've ever danced. I'll return to Indy just to dance at Riolo again!" First time visitors, overheard while entering the studio for the Open House: "Look at all the windows!" "And look at the size of that dance floor!" | Riolo Dance (317-490-6739) 502 N. Capitol (2nd Floor) Indianapolis, Indiana |
